The USPSC has received four reports of the brackets failing, which resulted in falling injuries, including broken bones.
The system consists of a bracket that straps to the tree. Once the bracket is attached to the trunk of the tree the hunting treestands can be hung from the bracket.
The recall involves Talon Raptor brackets/straps and Cabela's Realtree series hang-on treestands with the Talon brackets/straps. To help identify if you have one of these stands, read the safety label sewn onto the bracket. It will read "Treestand Strap Assembly." The recall stand have the following model numbers: rsEagle 82044, rsOsprey 82041, rsFalcon 82042, rsHawk 82043, and Cabela's Realtree Outfitters Series Hawk Deluxe 81509. The model info is printed on the hunting treestands warning label sewn onto the seat.
If you have one of these model numbers then cease using the stand and contact Summit Treestands at (800) 241-5559, or visit Summit's Web site.
